"When confronted with anything not on your diet, sit with head erect and move head slowly from side to side. This, too, is often very difficult for the beginner."
Ha ha! So true and yet so hard to do sometimes. Kind of like how it's burned into our brains to clean our plates. So I almost always clean it, even when I'm not hungry anymore. I have to make a serious effort to stop eating when I'm satisfied.
That makes a BIG difference, even if just a few bites left.
Let's say those few bites = 100 calories. 100 calories a day multiplied by 365 is an extra 36,500 calories a year! One pound of weight is 3,500 calories, so that's 10.5 pounds a year.
I've never even thought of it that way before. That makes so much sense. I'm going to try to be more conscious of when I'm full, regardless of what my plate looks like! Thanks!
