Vintage Sunday Supper Recipe & Words of Caution

By request, here is a recipe from my vintage 50's recipe book, "Sunday Night Suppers."

This recipe is very high in fat and can easily be prepared by reducing the amount of butter added. It's important to realize that many for-profit food industries published cookbooks to promote and encourage the use of their products. That means that they can be very unhealthy, calling for gobs of butter or sugar, and are not an accurate reflection of how people really ate in the 50's.
